My job is to help my community and beyond explore belonging, identity, rest and access nature.
Touch Grass CIC, a community-led organisation creating joyful outdoor experiences for queer people of colour through walks, camping trips, retreats, creative workshops and nature-based wellbeing spaces.
Her practice blends facilitation, analogue photography, audio storytelling, meditation and creative nature connection to explore who gets to be seen, held and remembered in the outdoors.
Through Touch Grass, Toni has led projects including Reverie, the UK’s first wellness retreat for queer women, trans and non-binary people of colour; Earth To Us, an exhibition mapping queer ecologies of play through culture, identity and land; and Joyful Ecologies, a community-owned archive of joyful outdoor experiences by queer people of colour.
